*hugs her best friend*

Well, here's a new thing I discovered through my friend Grant, and I'll update it periodically, but for now, enjoy it. Post new songs if you want, just make sure that they are appropriate(mostly)

*thinks, then grins*

Well, I made quite the mess of things today and I feel terrible about what happened. I really do. It was an honest mistake, and I may have lost a best friend over it.
But yeah, I've been so tired and overwhelmed with homework now, that I haven't had the time to post. It's so hard to balance school with everything else, considering that I have techno for more than 12 hours this weekend, and I'm supposed to be working on my SRC, or Safety Review Committee for Science Research? HAH. SHORE I'll have time to do that this weekend! I barely have time to eat breakfast on my way out the door.
So, I watched the movie "Ghosts of Girlfriend's Past" and it was really good. I liked it, and even though it was a play on Charles Dickens, it was still really good. Totally predictable, but so is every chick flick ever written.
I can't wait. Next weekend is Battle of the Bands, and I think I'm gonna go back to my natural hair color-blonde. I tried out red for a little bit, and I like dying my hair, but it's getting to be too expensive and too time consuming, so I'll do it one last time to get my hair back to it's normal color, and then I'm done with it.
Funny, I did the same thing last year, and I think that there's a post. It's been a little bit more than a year that I've had this blog. For anyone that's been with me from the beginning, thank you for putting up with any changes that I've made, and anything else that I've done to confuse you with the blog.
So, today's rant has to do with hair dying and the affect it has on society.
My friend Avery came up to me during track practice today and asked what color she should dye her hair. I replied with a quick and loud "NO." She looked at me oddly and then I explained myself. My reasoning is that it's time consuming, once you start, you have to go forever (or until your hair falls out), it's expensive, and you will always have to worry about root lines. The only reason that I dyed my hair in the first place was because I was bored one Saturday morning in the beginning of November. I mean, yeah, it's fun to do and it's good if you have a crappy color, but my advice is that you shouldn't even start. Getting your tips done is one thing because you can always get them cut off if they start to fade, or you can re-dye them a different color.
Unless your hair grows really fast, then don't dye your hair, and if you do, always make sure that you don't go into a pool within 72 hours, otherwise the color will run and it will look disgusting. One does not want disgusting hair.
So one of my best girlfriends has this AMAZING curly dark brown hair. I used to wish(when we were younger) that I could have her hair since it's such a nice color and texture. I have bland, almost straight hair that runs over my chest and it's a nice color, now that the red hair color is almost out.
But what I don't understand is why people feel the need to hide what they have that's nice. Color contacts, for example, take away from the natural beauty of the eye color. So what if it's brown? It doesn't make that big a deal. If your eyes are blue(like mine), all you get is "Oh my gosh! Your eye color is so pretty!" and that bothers me. I know I sound so whiny at being called pretty, but I don't want to be known as a body or any thing like that because then I feel like I'm not actually appreciated.
But it's not a big deal.

*tries to sleep*

I'm very tired lately, but still it's because of the fact that break is over and sleep is fleeting. Yeah, there's school and there's breaks, but it's tiring. The fact that schools are putting the economy over student health is sickening. Students are more likely to get to sick when they're tired, less likely to get good grades if tired, and it's much more difficult when schools are starting at 7 in the morning. Well, I'm sorry that I have to balance sports, homework, girl scouts, and robotics and be expected to get up for school in the morning so that I can do something with my life. Yeah, and throw friends and a social life in there? It's just not possible when you have to balance all of those together and be expected to get into college with the SAT's. It's very difficult to do most of the time.

But still, it's no big deal. I mean really. But now, I'm watching the Lion, the Witch and The Wardrobe(the newer one) which isn't as good as the books. I also just watched the newest episode of The Legend of the Seeker, where they keep bringing god damned Denna back. I mean, she's really not that much of an intriguing character. In the books, you only see her like twice. And it's starting to bother me. As is the new Toy Story movie. GO AHEAD AND RUIN MY CHILDHOOD DISNEY! GO AHEAD AND MAKE THE THINGS THAT I LOVED ON NICK DIFFERENT! GO AHEAD AND MAKE MR. MIME EVOLVE JAPANESE POKEMON MAKERS!
They have ruined my childhood. Freddi Fish is a girl. Blue from Blue's Clues is a boy and Magenta is a girl, and there are 493 different types of Pokemon instead of the original 151. My childhood has been ruined.

Did you also know that the red, yellow and blue power rangers where strippers before they got onto the show? Yeah, it's true. Life is different now. When I was younger, Raven had to hide her secret, not Miley. And when I was younger, Pluto was a planet. Plus the Disney channel star weren't sluts like they are now. But now... It's a shame. Miley Cyrus is a spoiled bitch, Demi Lovato is a crazed person who thinks she alt-rock but only managed to get herself booed of the stage at Bamboozle(which I am going to this year). The only one of the Disney stars that I can even stand is Selena Gomez, because she makes good music when she does decide to write music.

Sigh. Anyways, onto music.

*wonders*

And I'm wondering, what are some of your new years resolutions, my dear readers? Mine is to:
A)Pass physics
B)work up the courage to ask the one guy out
c)hang out with my friends more
Well, I recently found out about this cool book called "Jessica's Guide to Dating on the Dark Side" and it's really good. I mean, the beginning is kind of creepy, but other then that, it's a really good book that keeps you wanting more throughout the entire thing. Plus, the main characters name is Antanasia, which is really pretty. I really like the name, but I'm not gonna rant.
