What's cooking good looking?

Since I've been listening to All Time Low on repeat for the past few days, I don't really have any new music for you. Yeah, I can tell that you're all bummed, but whatever. Yesterday, I learned that one of my favorite actors is a Jets fan. To all you football people, it's the NEW YORK JETS, and those are my boys. Oh, and the actor is Dule Hill, the guy that plays Burton Guster (Gus) on the USANetwork syndicated show "Psych" which I've told you all that I'm in love with. Following these actors on twitter is always a good thing because you get to learn little things (like sports affiliation) that you wouldn't necessarily know.  Hill is a Jets fan because he's from New Jersey, and even though I'm not too huge of a fan of the state, it's still AMAZING that we like the same team.
ANYWAYS, I hope that you all have a fantastic Monday, even though ti is the worst day of the week.

Brokedown hearted wonderland

I've spent the last few hours cleaning my half of my dorm while listening to music that's really all over the place. I just wanted to check in and see if any of you actually read part of the Inheritance Cycle, but then I realized that anyone reading the books would be reading and not on the computer! Yeah, I'm clever. Anyways, I just placed a pre-order in for the fourth one, and I'm REALLY excited for the 8th. You have no idea.

Let's Kick It?

I would go on about politics or who knows what else, but since it is 1:17 in the morning as I start this, I thought that I should let you all know that I'm EXCITED. This is gonna be a big post for all of you who read the Eragon books by Christopher Paolini.

For all of you who don't know about them, I have to ask you a question:Do you live under a rock? For everyone else: Some minor stuff you should know.
  1. Paolini started the series when he was 16, and since that was about 8 years ago, you can tell that it's gotten pretty big in 8 years.
  2. The series consists of 4 books, the last (number 4) will be published on November 8, 2011.
  3. For anyone else whose pretty big into science fiction and fantasy books, you'll notice tons of parallels to Lord of the Rings, A Song of Fire and Ice (Game of Thrones) and some other fantasy series.
  4. It's much better written than the Twilight books, but then again, it's not too difficult to be better written than Twilight.
The series follows Eragon, a young man who lives with his uncle and cousin in a small town in the northern end of Alagaesia. Eragon has no idea who his parents are, only that his mother gave birth to him and then vanished. They live in a world controlled by an evil dictator named Galbatorix, the last of the Dragon Riders, who were a symbol of prosperity, wealth, and authority. Twisted by greed and the loss of his original dragon, he goes mad and craves only power. He kills the remaining riders who don't swear allegiance to him, and he kills the leader of the riders, but keeps 3 eggs, and these eggs are the last of the Dragons.

Our story begins with Eragon, a hunter in the mountains who finds a strange stone that no one wants to buy. Eventually, it hatches and a blue dragon binds itself to Eragon, who hides it from his family and the rest of the village. When his cousin takes a job in the next town over, he leaves, but a few days later, his home is burned to the ground and his uncle is killed. People being to ask questions, and he leaves with the storyteller Brom, who claims that he's only in it for the story to tell, but many questions quickly surround, but Eragon's dragon Saphira urges him to trust Brom and learn all that he can. Eragon begins to have visions of a red haired woman who he learns is kept in captivity.

Oh yeah, and that's just the first quarter of the book. It gets better, but you have to read it so that I don't spoil everything for you. The book is incredibly written and you can tell that Paolini has invested himself into his characters. They grow quickly, but you fall in love with them. If you haven't already gotten the books, then I suggest you go out an buy them. Any fans of Harry Potter with fall in love with Eragon and his companions over the course of the series. Again though, the fourth and final book of the series will be released on November 8th, and I recommend that you all go and get it.  Plus, I give the whole series a 5 out of 5 because of it's style, storyline, and characters. It's got it all-action, drama, romance, the whole 9 yards.

SONGS TO LOOK FOR:All of them

I'm in love with this album, simply because it rocks. The reason that I knocked the .2 stars off is because it's kinda creepy and there's just one song I don't like, and it's "In Transit". Every other song on here is great to listen to, even though it is pretty creepy. I do have some favorites on here, and those are "Painting Flowers", "Welcome to Mystery", "Alice" and "Always Running Out of Time".  Plus, I actually bought this whole album on iTunes, and it's a great deal. You pay 10 bucks for 18 songs, which is pretty good.  You should all be shocked simply because I actually bought it on iTunes. I would recommend listening on YouTube, but a fan of any of these bands would like the songs they did. The bands did a fantastic job capturing the essence of the movie and putting it into a song. It's really catchy and I know that I have "Painting Flowers" stuck in my head until I learned all the words.

I hope you guys take the time to listen to the album and buy it. Plus, I updated the monthly playlist today, so if you guys wanna check it out, go ahead.

see you guys on the flip side of the pillow.
